BOUSOU NO KOKORO – SOUVENIR DESIGN JAPAN

千葉県 BOUSOU NO KOKORO 千葉県 BOUSOU NO KOKORO From the heart of the Bousou Peninsula, from Chiba with love. This project is the outcome of one of my projects at Chiba University, Japan. The goal was to create a brand for a souvenir, a so called “omiyage” from Chiba, including a logo, brand message, corporate design but also the package design. The design pins on the fact that “Chi-Ba” also means “A thousand leaves”, but also refers with its bilingual typography on the international target group.

ENVÅK

ENVÅK For the Cologne-based electronic music project ENVAK, I created the visual identity which includes the logo, EP artwork, merchandizing elements, and website. ENVAK means a musician symbiosis of shamanism and modern electronic trip hop so the design combines this idea with open minimalistic choice in typography and mystical keyvisuals. INFOGRAPHIC RELOADED

INFOGRAPHIC RELOADED Wir werden zunehmend von Daten überflutet. Eine Folge ist das vermehrte Auftreten von Informationsgrafiken, es scheint, als wäre diese als Konzept der visuellen Datenvermittlung konkurrenzlos – obwohl unser Gehör einen 10mal größeren Wahrnehmungsbereich hat. In der Arbeit wurde die Infografik also Kommunikationsmedium hinterfragt und die auditive Vermittlung von Daten experimentell erforscht. Mit Erkenntnissen der Sonifikation wurden auditive Konzepte entwickelt, die die Flüchtlingsthematik aus neuen Perspektiven beleuchten. Es folgte eine Studie, bei der die drei entstandenen Konzeptdiagramme Probanden zur Visualisierung und Bewertung vorgelegt wurden. Link zu Arbeit: 20170328_InfografikReloaded Because we are getting flooded with data to an alarming degree, the information graphic is an unrivaled visual concept of presenting information – however, human hearing, as a sense, is 10 times greater. In this project, the information graphic is critically scrutinized as the auditive communication of data explored experimentally. Based on knowledge of sonification, auditive concepts have been developed which deal with the refugee topic and expose it from a new perspective. During a survey, test subjects listened to three conceptual diagrams before visualizing and valuing the sound. Link to paper: 20170328_InfografikReloaded
